Paul's Theory on Local Authority
Local authority is like a mall cop. They have very limited authority and limited authority is a nuisance. It is very difficult for people with limited authority not to use it. Power is enticing and when you have a limited amount one is more likely to exercise as much of it as possible.
Challenging limited authority is the same as asking that limited authoritarian to give up what little power they have. It is a waste of time. It is better to remove yourself from the domain of that limited authority than to engage it.Limited auhtority is like a mall cop: it is better to disengage from the domain of local authority than it is to ask that person to yield what they have in so limited an amount.
