Visual Studio Scrum 1.0 Released

Supports iterative, incremental agile software development

Visual Studio Scrum 1.0 is a new process template from Microsoft that supports iterative, incremental agile software development.

The template includes:

  • Work Item Types
    • Sprint
    • Product Backlog Item
    • Bug
    • Task
    • Impediment
    • Test Case
  • Reports
    • Release Burndown
    • Velocity
    • Sprint Burndown
    • Build Success Over Time
    • Build Summary
    • Test Case Readiness
    • Test Plan Progress
  • SharePoint Project Porta

The Scrum process template supports the hierarchical work items in Team Foundation Server 2010, making it incompatible with TFS 2008/2005. Nor do work items in the Scrum v1.0 template integrate with the Excel-based Product Backlog and Iteration Backlog workbooks.
