Microsoft Does Something

ClassSeparator reports: "Microsoft is to do something to Windows! According to a Microsoft PR-bot, Microsoft plans making changes to Windows. The altered version, based on additions and edits to source code, will be sold to Microsoft customers all over the world as an upgrade at some later time." I guess that one has been on the cards for a while now, but it's kinda spooky to see it out in the open. I wonder how this will affect Napster.

It doesn't matter what the Softies do, they cant coverup the fact that their winging it here.

They just don't get it do they. They key virtue in an operating system is STABILITY and thats one thing they aint gonna pickup by writing PRESS RELEASES to generate FUD.

They should try getting some Op en Source attitude in there!! They lusers gonna LOOSE IT!

wouldn't it be kewl if we all clubbed together and did our own version of windows?

i'm not a programmer, but i know lots of them and since windows is so bad it cant be so hard to make our own and then we could open source it and then what would they do.

i'd love to help with the beta testing. now i've got a spare pc because danny has left and i've got her pc in my bedroom. its a p90 but that wont matter because it will be soooh much better without those dumb softies writing it.

we could call it 'blue hat windows'. :-)

It their very own fault for the disputing with Sun. It better they use Java. Here we are using Java since three years ago. We not only using Java for the programmer increase (though we are: maybe ten times, maybe twenty times) we also now use it for everything from the commanding line stuff such as grep through to the web engine beans. Same speed C but faster. The security we are finding, and with the IDE too (Borland or IBM). Portability of course is of the deal.

my friend the programmer has done his own open source windows and he has put it on my pc. i am using it and its much better cos its got the start button on the side not the bootom which is kewl. and lots of other things to. he has done it in perl so micro$oft cannot touch him with they're patent crud.

But nobody can have it yet as its beta so dont ask. although I hope to have screenshots for it real soon so that you can look.

The page you are looking for is unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, you may need to adjust your browser settings. But really the problem is YOU. We thought you were our friend. Now we know better.

You could try the following:

  • You could try using Linux all the time as your main system. Instead of loading it once and then letting it molder away on your spare 4GB partition.
  • No, sticking it on the old P90 in the corner does not constitute 'a fair trial'. Not in anyone's book.
  • What? You can't run Linux full time because your version control system doesn't support it. I must say, that's pretty rich coming from Check-in Charlie. The last time you actually checked something in, the project librarian practically had a heart attack. Don't try that on sunshine.
  • It's no good clicking and clicking away like a mad thing. I'm sorry, you've got around us before. To look at you, you wouldn't think a Visual Basic script would melt in your mouth. This time we aren't falling for it.
