Snapvine has introduced Snapvine Publisher API, a tool that lets you add voice and viral sharing features to websitses. The Snapvine API uses JavaScript to:

Let you add voice to any photo or text element via the microphone on your computer or by dialing a telephone number from one of 15 supported countries.
Facilitate viral distribution of content with a "share" button for users to post photos and voice content to MySpace, Facebook, or other web sites.
Increase site traffic and enhanced SEO (search engine optimization) via a branded link on all shared content that takes users back to the originating website.
Support client-side integration with media hosting and bandwidth provided by Snapvine.

"The Snapvine API was easy to integrate and allowed us to effortlessly add a new personalization and social media sharing feature for our customers," said Peter Macnee, MyPhotoAlbum's President and CEO.

The Snapvine Publisher API is built on top of the same platform as Snapvine's consumer offerings. The Snapvine Voice Player has over 7 million registered users, and is a top widget on MySpace. Over 400 million audio plays and 20 million calls have been processed through the Snapvine data center.

Snapvine is initially releasing the API with nine launch partners including, icanhascheezburger.com, PictureTrail.com, MyPhotoAlbum.com, Musez.tv, Picture2Life.com, Floago.com.br, Saloneconnection.com, Shelfari.com, and Simplebucket.com.
