Google App Engine will be open to all subscribers as of tomorrow, according to Google. More than 150,000 developers have been added to the Google Apps waiting list in the last 6 weeks, but as of tomorrow, the waiting list will be dispensed with, and all comers will be taken.

The announcement is just one of a series that Google will be making at the opening of its Google I/O developers' conference tomorrow in San Francisco.

Google Web Toolkit 1.5 Release Candidate will be announced, and will be available later in the week. GWT 1.5 includes support for Java 5 syntax, and boasts speed improvements in the GWT-compiled Javascript.

In addition, two new APIs for Google App Engine will become available in the coming weeks: an image-manipulation API and the memcache API for high-performance caching.
