Ion-Trap Quantum Computing : a Conversation with Jonathan Home

Ion string (from NIST Ion Storage Group) Jonathan Home, a NIST post-doctoral researcher with the Ion Storage Group (degree from Oxford where he worked with the Ion Trap Quantum Computing Group), has been working on ion-trap quantum computing hardware. NIST recently claimed a high degree of reliability using techniques refined by Home's team. He describes his team's approach.
