Multi-monitor support is a new feature in Visual Studio 2010 that lets you partition the IDE across multiple monitors. You can now move the editors, designers, and tool windows in the IDE outside the top-level window and position them anywhere you need to -- and on any monitor on your system.
It is also easy to use this feature -- just click on a document tab or tool window in the Visual Studio 2010 IDE and drag it to your desired location within the top-level IDE window or, outside of the IDE to any location on any monitor you would want. Once you are done, you can drag the tab or the window back to its original location. Also, Visual Studio 2010 can persist the state -- the last saved screen position of the tabs and the windows would be recovered when the projects are re-opened. This feature comes in handy when you are debugging applications that make use of parallel programming -- you can organize the code, the menu, and the Immediate window as you need.
