Must-Read Book!
Neelesh Misra, a former journalist and well-known songwriter whose 'Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai' became the launching pad for Bipasha Basu and her boyfriend John Abraham in the 2002 flick "Jism," (but of course, you knew that already) has written a comedic novel about outsourcing (and also about love, anonymous long-distance romance, cultural presumptions about 'the foreign,' class issues, and other heady stuff).
Called "Once Upon a Timezone," the book revolves around a middle-class Indian guy named Neel Pandey, who takes a job in an outsourced contact center, falls in love with an American customer, and thus (through many funny adventures and tropes) transforms his life. The book is being published by HarperCollins India, and will premiere at next month's Frankfurt Book Fair.
