Java Platform as a Service (PaaS) company CloudBees announced integration with VMware Cloud Foundry. The intention here is that developers can utilize CloudBees DEV@cloud development services to deploy web and mobile applications to the CloudFoundry service.

This in turn should provide programmers with choice and access to cloud-based development tools including Jenkins, the popular continuous integration server. Other deployment options also include CloudBees' own RUN@cloud platform and Google App Engine.
NOTE: Initiated by VMware, Cloud Foundry is an open platform as a service that sets out to provide a choice of clouds, developer frameworks, and application services. Cloud Foundry aims to make it faster and easier to build, test, deploy, and scale applications. It is an open source project and is available through a variety of private cloud distributions.

CloudBees says it has a commitment to Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) as a critical element of cloud-based development for any target deployment environment. The firm wants to make cloud-based continuous delivery easier by using Jenkins in the cloud to manage the development and delivery process.
Senior vice president of products at CloudBees Steven G. Harris rounds up by asserting that continuous integration is "increasingly seen" as the most effective tool for improving time-to-market in distributed teams, complex test scenarios, and mobile application development. As such, he reasons that by providing enhanced and integrated CI capabilities for CloudFoundry.com developers should enjoy a better programming experience.
