Open Source IDE for Embedded Systems
I can't break my emacs habit long enough to get any particular IDE religion. Oh sure, I've used Eclipse and Visual Studio and the Microchip IDE and.... but I always wind up going back to emacs and a command line.
However, I have come to realize I'm kind of atypical. I ran across Cuttlebug -- an open source IDE for developing embedded systems. Its written in Python and works on Linux and Windows. Might be worth taking a look.
How do you develop code? An IDE? Emacs? Surely not vi! That's the one religious war I allow myself to get drug into (emacs vs vi). And yes, as a matter of fact I DO know how to use vi. I just don't like it.
Leave a comment and let me know how you write your code!
