Watch Out!
Back in July of last year I wrote a couple of posts about the TI-MSP430 Chronos which is essentially a microcontroller development board in a wrist watch. This appealed to on several levels. First of all, who doesn't like to hack something to make it custom? And second, like most guys, I like watches.
The TI watch is actually pretty good looking. It isn't a Rolex or even a Seiko, but it could pass for a Casio or a Timex. But if you are a real geek you want a geeky watch to match. If you aren't feeling handy, you can always buy something off the shelf you can visit TokyoFlash. But if you are like me, you want to build your own.
That's why the inPulse caught my eye. The OLED display should lend itself to some pretty geeky displays and it certainly looks geeky enough on the face of it (no pun intended). A bit steep at $150, but the Bluetooth isn't cheap I suppose.
What would you do with this?
