The product's new features include "Server" Code for custom business logic in the Appery.io cloud without the need to build and maintain server infrastructure. There are also functions for editing automatically generated HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS on the client side for "customization and branding" of applications.

Appery.io features prebuilt Plug-ins for Salesforce.com, including support for oAuth 2.O and Chatter. Developers can choose to rely primarily on the visual builder, the code editor, or both, depending on the target application and their own skills.

These new features join the existing catalog of API plug-ins, a cloud database, the Appery Push Notifications service, and RESTXpress for secure enterprise integration.

"Enterprise mobile apps are in a category of their own," says Exadel CEO, Fima Katz. "We believe that more enterprises will use web technologies to build mobile apps, which is why we added a full, cloud-based HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS editor. With our integrated back-end services and enterprise integration capability we offer an all-in-one platform for the entire application lifecycle, including design, development, test, deployment, and maintenance."
