Is Big Data(base) Connectivity A Must Have?

Devart has released dbForge Studio for MySQL v. 6.1 with new features such as support for the latest versions of MySQL server and support for MariaDB.

Self-proclaimed as the "universal" MySQL and MariaDB GUI tool for database management, administration, and development, this release contains database connectivity support MySQL 5.6, MySQL 5.7, MariaDB 5.5, and MariaDB 10.0 altogether.

As readers will know, MariaDB is a relatively new database that has ramped up its popularity within a short period of time — although it has not been without its critics.

Other new features of dbForge Studio include MariaDB Virtual Columns now supported in Data Export/Import wizards and Data/Schema Comparison tools.

Also here you will find microseconds support for TIME, DATETIME, and TIMESTAMP data types. Plus a Data Editor, Data Export/Import wizards, and a Data Comparison tool.

Pluggable authentication is supported and dbForge Studio for MySQL provides the extended support of pluggable authentication modules for MySQL servers.
