TeraGrid has announced a call for papers for the annual TeraGrid conference to be held August 2-5, 2010 at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Participants can now submit papers and abstracts for the Science, Technology, Gateways, and Education tracks, and abstracts only for all other parts of the TeraGrid '10 conference. All papers and abstracts should be submitted as PDF documents to the web site identified on www.teragrid.org/tg10/submission. The deadline for all submissions is May 10, 2010.
TeraGrid, funded by the National Science Foundation, is the world's largest, most comprehensive distributed cyberinfrastructure for open scientific research, combining resources at 11 partner sites to create an integrated, persistent computational resource. Using high-performance network connections, TeraGrid integrates high-performance computers, data resources and tools, and high-end experimental facilities around the country. Currently, TeraGrid resources include more than two petaflops of computing capability and more than 60 petabytes of online and archival data storage, with rapid access and retrieval over high-performance networks. Researchers can also access more than 100 discipline-specific databases.
"The annual TeraGrid conferences have proven to be an invaluable opportunity for TeraGrid users and staff to learn from each other, improving both the TeraGrid itself as well as the research that uses it," said Daniel S. Katz from the University of Chicago, co-chair of TG'10 with Richard Moore from the San Diego Supercomputer Center, at the University of California, San Diego. "We expect this year's conference to be equally strong, including opportunities for researchers, scientists, educators, students, and TeraGrid staff to present, learn, and interact with each other."
Work for all Science, Technology, Gateways, and Education tracks not previously published in another venue, presented, or currently under consideration at another conference may be submitted as a paper or abstract. Papers should be no more than eight pages; abstracts should be no more than one page in length. Work previously published in another venue, presented, or currently under consideration at another conference may be submitted as a one-page abstract only. Please include the names and affiliations of all co-authors, indicating which author will be presenting. The deadline for these submissions is May 10, 2010.
Submissions for Science, Technology, and Student Posters; the Visualization Showcase; Tutorials; and Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions should be in the form of a one-page abstract only. Please include the names and affiliations of all co-authors, indicating which author will be presenting. The deadline for tutorial and BOF submissions is May 10, 2010. The deadline for poster and visualization submissions is June 21, 2010.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed, and successful applicants will be expected to address reviewer comments.
