Parasoft has announced that the API to its development testing platform is now available publically. Developers are invited to use the API to integrate "any" tool across the software application development lifecycle.
Parasoft's platform features a policy-driven process that integrates static analysis, unit testing, coverage analysis, and peer code review including preparation, notification, and tracking.
The software is also marked out for its runtime error detection across memory leaks, race conditions, exceptions, etc. — plus its traceability across requirements tasks and when examining code defects, code reviews, or tests. This range of capabilities is now extended by integrating any internal, open source, or COTS via the API.
"The opportunity to integrate any tool into this platform gives organizations a single point of control for all activities associated with developing secure, reliable, and compliant code," said Wayne Ariola, VP of Strategy for Parasoft. "This not only enables a much better understanding of what is being developed and how it is being developed — it also assists organizations in broadening the scope of development policies being monitored to ensure that software is being developed in line with management's expectations."
