Accusoft Pegasus, has released its ImageGear for Silverlight v18. Built with Silverlight 4, ImageGear for Silverlight is a tool for building high-performance, custom imaging applications. ImageGear for Silverlight v18 allows ImageGear for Silverlight v18 to enable printing and scanning functionality. Users can print images directly from Silverlight applications, with complete control over the print layout, and acquire images from TWAIN scanners, when running locally.
Additionally, the v18 release includes enhancements to the pageview control. New drag-and-drop events and multi-touch display support has ImageGear ready for the next generation of touch-based devices. Also with this release, support for DICOM Presentation State allows image display and annotations to stay in accordance with presentation state definition.
ImageGear for Silverlight is a fully-managed solution that runs on the client system, enabling continued operation when disconnected. Server-side processing is expensive, complex and time consuming, and ImageGear for Silverlight can reduce data center expenses by migrating the processing to the client systems. Using this Silverlight SDK, developers can implement a single UI that lets users view more than 100 image file types, including raster files such as TIFF, JPEG and Camera RAW.
