Infragistics has announced that its NetAdvantage Silverlight control toolset for developing will be part of NetAdvantage for .NET 2009 Volume 1 and NetAdvantage for Web Client 2009 Volume 1. Built on Microsoft Silverlight 3, Infragistics provides developers with advanced, unique controls for developing UIs that are familiar, as well as creating new experiences inherent to Silverlight.
Infragistics Silverlight Grid delivers an expansive set of tabular hierarchical grid features that allow end users to view, search, arrange, and manipulate data in ways that mimic Microsoft Office Excel behaviors, all while maintaining a high level of performance. This toolkit offers an array of UI controls that developers are familiar with using such as charts, trees, menus and dialog windows while introducing new controls that embody the capabilities of Silverlight 3 such as Tile Views and Tag Clouds.
"Silverlight 3 is perfect for enterprise development and by working closely with customers, we created a powerful Silverlight UI control toolkit for Line of Business applications that takes advantage of Silverlight 3 capabilities such as animation, easy styling and templating," said Jason Beres, director of Product Management at Infragistics. "Our Silverlight 3 UI toolkit provides customers with controls and functionality above and beyond what is currently available 'in the box' and offers everything developers need to create great user experiences with Silverlight 3 today."
With Microsoft Expression Blend 3 support, rich data visualization capabilities, and UI automation, Infragistics Silverlight controls enable developers to produce UIs that are highly productive and generate dynamic user experiences.
To help developers ramp up quickly on Silverlight and Infragistics' Silverlight components for Line of Business applications, Infragistics offers Community Sites and Forums designed to educate and connect to other developers. Quince, Infragistic's free UX patterns library, is not only built on Silverlight but allows developers to browse, learn, and replicate UI patterns for the best user experience.
