Palm, DeviceAnywhere Offer Virtual Developer Lab

Palm has partnered with mobile device testing-service provider DeviceAnywhere to offer a "Virtual Developer Lab" testing service for several recent Palm-based devices. Currently, the service lists the following devices:

  • 700 w/wx
  • Centro AT&T - GSM
  • Centro Sprint - CDMA
  • Treo 650 (Palm OS)
  • Treo 680 (Palm OS)
  • Treo 700P (Palm OS)
  • Treo 750v- GSM
  • Treo750 AT&T, GSM

and claims to be adding many more devices in the future.

The service is run by DeviceAnywhere, and provides online metered access to live devices for application testing through a web browser. Users can do anything with the phones that would be possible in person (short of dropping it on the floor, presumably).

San Mateo, CA-based DeviceAnywhere currently offers this sort of service for over 900 different mobile devices.
