The Python Software Foundation has announced the final release of Python 3.0 (also known as "Python 3000" or "Py3k"). It's noteworthy that Python 3 is a new version of the language that is incompatible with the 2.x line of releases. For the most part, however, the language is the same. Guido van Rossun has provided a list of changes from Release 2.6 to 3.0.
