Skyway Java Developer Contest

July 16, 2008

I was recently informed that Skyway Software is sponsoring a developer contest (please note this is independent of Dr. Dobbs Journal), one that I found interesting. You can find more information about the contest, and enroll at

In order to introduce more developers to its open-source development IDE for SOA-based projects called Skyway Builder, Skyway Software is sponsoring SkywayCup, a developer contest giving out more than $40,000 (grand prize is $25,000) to the top 25 programs developed using Skyway Builder Community Edition (CE).

In my opinion, Skyway Builder is an interesting development environment based on Eclipse that uses graphical elements to assist in otherwise complex enterprise development tasks. If you'd like to read more about Skyway Builder, see

Skyway Builder with graphical programming assistance.

Happy coding!
