RunRev Ltd has announced the release of an update to its flagship programming environment, LiveCode. Version 6.1.2 adds support for the latest iOS 7 SDK and Xcode 5.0, as well as over 30 other enhancements.
LiveCode is a rapid app development platform for app developers wanting to create cross platform apps on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux. This update ensures continued support for the popular iOS platform, comprising apps running on iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touch.
LiveCode Community can be downloaded free here and LiveCode is known for being the first Scottish technology company to raise half a million pounds via Kickstarter to fund the LiveCode Open Source project in February of this year.
Kevin Miller, CEO of RunRev Ltd, said, "This release demonstrates the continued success of the open source model, which is allowing us to develop faster than ever before. We are now able with the help of the community to maintain two simultaneous strands of development, so 6.1.2 has been released with essential support for iOS 7, whilst our team are still working on the next exciting release, which will deliver more of our Kickstarter goals."
