OpenGL Debug, Profiling Tool for iPhone Released

Graphic Remedy has released gDEBugger iPhone, a debugging and profiling tool for iPhone developers. gDEBugger runs on top of Apple's iPhone Simulator, letting developers debug and optimize iPhone OpenGL ES-based applications in their primary work environment. gDEBugger iPhone supports iPhone SDKs 2.2.1, 3.0 and 3.1 with the iPhone Simulator, and fully supports OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0.

gDEBugger iPhone is a spin on Graphic Remedy's gDEBugger, an OpenGL debugger and profiler that traces application activity on top of the OpenGL API to provide the application behavior information needed to find bugs and to optimize OpenGL application performance. With gDEBugger, developers can can peer inside OpenGL apps to see the effect individual OpenGL commands have on the graphic system's behavior. There are multiple ways to use the analytic capabilities of gDEBugger -- from locating bugs to removing redundant OpenGL calls and OpenGL errors to performing regression tests.
