Presentation layer and data visualization components for .NET-based technologies company Nevron has updated its core product.
Version 2014.1 of Nevron for .NET pays special attention to the performance of the product's controls. Both the Chart and Diagram controls in the suite have been extended to support hardware-accelerated rendering.
In addition, both controls feature additional performance improvements. Nevron asserts that this augmentation makes these tools "ideal" for high-speed data acquisition software, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, scientific charting, GIS, medical, big data BI, and other real-time data visualization applications.
"Our new hardware-accelerated 2D and 3D graphics engine helps in applications that require advanced hardware graphics support, which won't suffer from the limitations of WPF graphics," said Ivo Milanov, CTO of Nevron Software. "This makes the controls suitable for applications needing real-time data visualization aided by GPU power. In addition, our set of controls now targets the full spectrum of .NET technologies under the Windows platform — WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET, and MVC from a single code base. This allows developers to create both Desktop and Server applications from a single code base, without any compromise in feature set or performance."
Along with WinForms, MVC, and ASP.NET, Nevron Chart now contains a WPF control as well, allowing developers to target the full spectrum of .NET technologies from a single code base.
The Chart data storage has been also redesigned for better performance, ease of data import, and visualization of large amounts of data.
