AVX support in new tools from Intel, faster MPI, and some Parallel Studio features on Linux and Mac
We have released updates for the Intel C++ and Fortran compilers, our Intel Math Kernel (MKL) and Intel Integrated Performance Primitives (IPP) libraries and Cluster toolkits. Noteworthy additions include outstanding performance enhancements, support of Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) and inclusion of some elements that debuted in Intel® Parallel Studio last month.
Releasing well before processors with AVX support from Intel or AMD allows time to put the tools into a build environment and be ready for AVX. This is a common request we've had - and it will be interesting to see how many find this useful.
Free evaluation copies are available as always from our web site, and there are tool for emulation/estimating performance available freely from intel.com/software/avx
