DBmaestro has released its Teamwork version 3.7 product with Oracle SQL Developer Extension. This software is intended for use by developers (and others) to manage changes (and view the history of changes) within the same Oracle IDE they use to modify and develop the database itself.
This product enforces a single change process throughout the database development process and was developed in cooperation with Oracle by providing API-related information and feedback on general integration and usability.
The central technology proposition here is an opportunity to enhance the level of confidence and control over continuous processes; i.e., automated builds, automated deployments within the development environments, and automated deployment to production.
Automation for the database has its own challenges, says DBmaestro, especially with handling conflicts. DBmaestro Teamwork allows organizations to feel confident in their database development process by enforcing change management capabilities.
"In today's continuous deployment environment, developers must take control of their database in order to prevent disaster," said Yaniv Yehuda, CTO and co-CEO of DBmaestro. "DBmaestro Teamwork allows DevOps for database to follow the proven best practices of change management. DBmaestro empowers collaboration between the development and operation teams, saves time and money, and mitigates the risks of the deployment process".
DBmaestro Teamwork covers all the best practices for Database Enforced Change Managements (DECM), thus reducing the deployment timeframe of database projects and freeing up technical resources from mundane and time-consuming tasks.
