Devart has released Entity Developer 2.20, a design tool for modeling and code generation for ADO.NET Entity Framework, and LINQ to SQL for SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite database engines. These tools are built to let you design an entity model from scratch or reverse-engineer an existing database, in which case you will have the classes and relations with just several clicks.
The new version offers extended functionality such as:
- Expanded and enhanced Entity Framework support. Added support for advanced mapping with QueryView.
- Usability Improvements. Search in the model is now available. You can request to find the specified phrase in the entire model, for example, in class names, property and association names, etc. Also Entity Set Pluralization Naming Rule and implemented displaying of Navigation properties on diagram and project explorer has been added. Devart has enhanced support for Entity Framework Storage Model Editing by adding dialogs for suitable storage model editing. Finally, the ability to edit Referential constraints, set OnDelete action, set Rows Affected parameter have been added.
- Database servers support. In Entity Developer for SQL Server, support for SQL Server Compact Edition has been introduced.
