OpenSolaris Governance Board Resigns
As reported by Simon Phipps, the OpenSolaris Governance board has resigned en-masse, due to lack of attention from Oracle regarding the future of the open-source OS. This, in effect, passes complete control of OpenSolaris back to Oracle. It's now up to Oracle to appoint an new board.
It will be interesting to see what the community does with the open-source OS, and it will also be interesting to see if something similar happens with the OpenJDK projects in the near future. Perhaps we'll find out more on both subjects at Oracle's OpenWorld and JavaOne conferences in San Francisco in September.
