What price simplicity?
Coming back into programming from architecture and mentoring and going on this simplicity kick ,,, programming being nowadays like having your face forceably stuffed with chocolate eclairs until you gag.The env is become:
- OpenBSD
- Linux on remote shared servers only
- dwm window manager
- no ide
What I do have is the Midnight Commander, a browser, a mailer, gcc, the usual editors, the usual languages, gforth, JDK 6 and any open source in Java I've written over the years.
What have I found? I've found that the less tools I have the more productive I am with the ones I do have. What a concept!
