Mindscape has launched Raygun.io, a tool designed to compete in the software error management category. This SaaS product provides "sensible" team notifications (rather than one per error) intended to provide trend analysis and keep developers updated as an error progresses.
The website driving this service gives insight into the overall health of the software it is monitoring; i.e., outstanding errors, grouped lists of errors, how the software errors are trending, and so on.
NOTE: Raygun has been running in private beta for several months and it is already processing more than 1,000,000 software errors per day.
Cofounder of Mindscape John-Daniel Trask explained that currently there is support for .NET, PHP, Java, and WinRT, with support for Objective-C, Ruby, and JavaScript coming very soon. "Developers can of course use the REST API directly to post messages into Raygun from any source," he said.
