Emerson Network Power has announced the expansion of its Intel Core i5/i7 Processor-based series of COM Express modules with two processor boards that support ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory. The modular design of the COMX-CORE-512 and COMX-CORE-312 can help reduce development costs for designers in telecom, media servers, data security, finance, scientific modeling, and other sectors requiring high data precision.
The COMX-CORE-512 features a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and the mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset, while the COMX-CORE-312 offers the cost-effective Intel Celeron P4505 processor and Intel HM55 Express chipset for lower-performance applications. Connectivity options include one PCI Express x16 and seven PCI Express x1 expansion sockets, one Gigabit Ethernet, four SATA and eight USB 2.0 ports. The modules also support dual simultaneous displays without the need for an additional graphics car and an optional eUSB flash module extends on-module storage.
