One of the cool features of the 'new and improved' DrDobbs.com is the commenting system. This is where you have the opportunity to interact not just with Guru bloggers and the people who write the articles and on DrDobbs.com (and the smilin' editors who sometimes screw up those articles), but also with your peers who are commenting on their own. Don't agree with an author. Say so. Don't agree with a blogger. Say so. Don't agree with a commentor? Say so. Don't agree with an editor? Uh...be nice now.
One of the keys to the commenting system is your ability to "permalink" to specific comments. Another key is the nested presentation of comments, both in a "quick" view when you're rushed for time, or a "full" view when someone posts a particularly thought-provoking or bone-headed comment.
Try out the comments starting with a comment about this comment. Or for something more substantial, what's your take on Eric Bruno's blog on Java, Flash, and Mac OS X. Do we have cause for concern?
