SmartBear Software has launched LoadComplete 2.6 as a tool designed to load and stress test web applications on premise or from the Amazon cloud. The proposition here is "best of both worlds"; i.e., the agility of on-premise deployment and, secondly, the scale of load generation from the cloud.
Essentially, LoadComplete is a performance, stress, and load testing tool that requires no programming knowledge to start as it comes with automation and wizards for workflow acceleration. Users can record and play "user scenarios" and optimize the load model using the freehand workload modeling tool. LoadComplete then collects server performance data and integrates it in performance reports.
"This latest version of LoadComplete takes our testing solution to another level, safeguarding website performance particularly under extreme traffic conditions," said Goran Begic, senior product manager at SmartBear Software.
Enhancements to LoadComplete 2.6 are designed to ensure optimum website performance even with heavy traffic and include custom page breaks that can be inserted both during and after scenario recording, and an overhauled and simplified "think time" application that represents delays in the scenario due to user inactivity.
