Java reporting solutions specialist Jinfonet Software has unveiled its new JReport 10 product, which it says adds rich visualization and interactive reporting to its BI platform. As enterprises everywhere deploy increasingly deeper levels of automation into business processes, and BI systems become a standard part of corporate IT stacks at every level, Jinfonet is positioning its interactive visual presentation technology as both timely and relevant.
Providing embedded interactive operational reporting to developers and self-service reporting to end users, Jinfonet says that JReport 10 is a Web 2.0 self-service reporting offering that allows reports to be accessible across the enterprise with good scalability.
The product itself extends the limits of crosstabs, charting and dashboards with on-screen filters, cascading parameters and data sharing auto-refresh components. With increased interactive capabilities and the ability to visually slice, dice and drill down, JReport 10 also integrates with geo-spatial map data to allow users to see data from a multi-level geographical perspective.
According to the company's website, "JReport embeds in any Java application and can connect to any data source, giving immediate access to operational data from the application interface. JReport Server Live provides powerful Web 2.0 self-service reporting, so users can intuitively create multi-component web reports without requiring the assistance of developers. End users can also swiftly modify deployed reports to directly reflect their needs, for example, by adding columns, groups, pivoting and filtering, and switching between different chart types or table styles."
