Rumor is there's a recession going on. If you're not one of the 29 employees of Twitter, you may even have noticed.

What I've noticed is that the recession is not affecting everyone equally. Some people are doing quite well. Some are hurting.

So what's your experience? Have you lost a job or benefits? Taken a pay cut? Lost regular clients or gigs? Seen regular clients cut back or go out of business? Maybe your backlog of pending jobs is getting thinner. Or have you picked up more work as clients outsource more? Or no effect at all, knock wood?

How has the bad economy affected you? I'd love to hear, and I know other developers would be interested, too.
