HP's latest cloud application performance testing solution aims to tune both web and mobile apps for performance validation before deployment. The LoadRunner-in-the-Cloud OEM partner offering enables "accredited and certified" partners to use an on-demand service model of the cloud to deliver "consumption-based" performance testing to their customers.
Under the new LoadRunner controls, HP says that applications can be tested in web 2.0, AJAX, and mobile environments. LoadRunner is a pay-per-use performance testing as-a-service offering with an end-to-end view of system performance to identify potential bottlenecks before the application is deployed in production.
"Organizations that do not have robust performance testing may face application delivery delays or risk performance bottlenecks if they are unable to get timely access to testing resources," said HP's Matthew Morgan. "The HP LoadRunner-in-the-Cloud partner offering simplifies performance testing of complex applications with HP LoadRunner's TruClient, an easy-to-use, toolkit-agnostic solution that reduces testing cycles by cutting script time and correlation for web 2.0 applications by as much as 50 percent."
HP performance testing partners Orasi Software, Inc., Genilogix and J9 Technologies have selected the offering, which will enable them to introduce a new public cloud offering to extend their existing portfolio with a short-term, pay-per-use web and mobile application performance testing solution.
The HP LoadRunner-in-the-Cloud OEM partner offering is a key component of the HP IT Performance Suite, which helps businesses and governments in their pursuit of an Instant-On Enterprise. In a world of continuous connectivity, the Instant-On Enterprise embeds technology in everything it does to serve customers, employees, partners, and citizens with whatever they need, instantly.
